Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a reservation?

As a new client, calling us is the easiest way to get started. You can also send us an email with your name, address, phone number, pet's name(s), breed(s), age(s), and dates you would like to bring your pet. You will need to email, fax, or bring us your proof of vaccinations.

What vaccinations are required?

For dogs, we require:

Bordetella

• DHPPL

• Rabies

For cats, we require:

Feline Leukemia

• Feline Distemper

• Rabies

If your pets need updated vaccinations, our on-site vet can usually make accommodations.

What should I bring for my pet's stay?

We provide all the necessities including food, bowls, and bedding, so all we really need is your pet! We ask that you leave toys at home since they may get lost or chewed up.

If your pets are on a special diet, we will give them their own food. Please bring their food in an airtight container. Also, if your pet is on medications, please bring them and we will administer them.

It gets cold in Gunnison. How do you deal with the cold temperatures, so my pet doesn't freeze?

Our kennels are indoor and outdoor kennels. When it is too cold outside to leave the doors between the outside and inside open, we will let the dogs out as often as we can so they can exercise and go to the bathroom. We then keep them inside so they will stay warm.

In addition to our heated kennels, we have many windows in our building that provide excellent natural heating.
